– The new Combo brings Intelli-Lux LED matrix lights to the Opel LCV range
– The 100% electric Opel Combo Electric offers full functionality without compromise
– Dynamic Surround Vision: images of rear and side blind spots visible in the new high-definition digital rearview mirror

Opel today revealed details of the new Combo light commercial vehicle (LCV). In addition to a new front end design and a new digital cockpit, the next-generation compact van, which retains all the advantages of the previous model, is also the first in its market segment to feature the state-of-the-art Intelli-Lux LED matrix light. The new zero-emission Combo Electric also offers increased range.

In addition to the electric version, the new Opel Combo is also available with petrol and diesel engines, with the latter offering an automatic gearbox as an alternative to a manual gearbox. Both transmission versions of the new Opel Combo are available in two lengths with a choice of two or three front seats. The new Combo is additionally offered as a cargo-passenger version with a 5-seater Crew Cab.

Thanks to the distinctive signature Vizor panel, familiar from the latest Opel cars, the new Opel Combo is instantly recognizable. Creating a single visual unit that stretches across the front of the car, the Vizor integrates the Blitz brand emblem with the signature front lighting system.

Premiere: Intelli-Lux LED matrix light in the minivan class
For the first time, the new Combo received the Intelli-Lux adaptive LED matrix light, which was previously found on Opel passenger cars, and this new product sets new standards in its class. As soon as the car leaves the city, matrix headlights with 14 LED elements automatically switch to high beam and constantly adjust the length and distribution of the light beam. When headlights from a car ahead are detected, individual LEDs are turned off to “cut” the car out of the high beam and avoid dazzling other drivers. The LEDs turn on again automatically as soon as the system detects the absence of lights from other cars.

In addition to the LED technology, the new Opel Combo Electric also offers an increased range. The new all-electric compact van can travel up to 330 kilometers on a single charge of the new 50 kWh battery (WLTP combined cycle 2), which is 50 km further than its predecessor. This is made possible by the further development of an all-electric transmission and – for the first time in the Combo – a highly efficient heat pump that helps preserve battery power in low temperatures. Thanks to the latest generation electric motor with a capacity of 100 kW/136 hp. and with a torque of 270 Nm, the new Combo Electric can reach a maximum speed of 130 km/h. With a standard 7.4kW on-board charger (11kW optional), the battery can be charged to 80 percent capacity in less than 30 minutes at a 100kW public charging station.

The new Opel Combo Electric: uncompromising transportation without harmful emissions
The extraordinary strength of the new Opel Combo Electric remains its ability to transport and tow heavy loads. Like its predecessor, the new all-electric compact van continues to offer up to 4.4 cubic meters of luggage space as the diesel version. While the 780kg payload and 750kg towing are best in class.

The cabin of the novelty has also undergone changes to add even more convenience and technology. New infotainment systems with 10-inch color touch screens, for the first time in Opel light commercial vehicles, use the integrated Snapdragon Cockpit platform from Qualcomm Technologies, which provides improved graphics and multimedia picture quality. The systems are compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safer manoeuvring: rear and side cameras transmit images to the digital rearview mirror

When it comes to road safety, the new generation Opel Combo remains the leader in its class. And an example of such an approach is the new safety function — Dynamic Surround Vision. The system consists of two cameras, one located above the rear door and the other under the passenger-side exterior mirror. The new high-resolution digital rear-view mirror displays two images – the rear of the car while driving and (when activated by the turn signal switch) the side blind spot. Compared to conventional mirrors, the system provides a better view, allowing the driver to maneuver more safely.

Additional safety is provided by a wide range of 18 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), many of which are standard. This list includes int
